Chamomile Mint Tea

Our Chamomile Mint Herbal Tea, or Chamomint as we call it, is a very aromatic blend with the heady floral flavor of Nile Delta Egyptian Chamomile and cool refreshing menthol flavor of premium Peppermint. We created the blend to balance the sweetness of the Egyptian Nile Chamomile with the pungent flavor of peppermint. The result is a minty sweet, relaxing tea, favored by many of our friends who love its soothing flavor and aromatic scent.

The best peppermint comes from the northwestern United States, which is why we use suppliers from this area. The climate provides the ideal environment for growing mint. What you get is peppermint with the highest oil level providing the most aromatic, pungent peppermint in the world.

Peppermint has no caffeine so you can drink it and not worry about being kept awake at night. It is also consumed in many cultures to aid digestion and calm uneasy stomachs. Many also use peppermint as a breath sweetener.

As we use the best peppermint in the world, we also use the best Chamomile for the steeping of tea, Egyptian Chamomile. There are many chamomiles around the world, but only chamomile from the Nile region of Egypt has the sweet, floral notes we demand for our herbal teas.

Besides being used as an herbal tea, Chamomile has been used for hundreds if not thousands of years for many folk remedies, including toothaches, headaches and of course, restlessness and insomnia. That’s why it is used as a base for many “relaxing” teas.

Steeping Instructions
Hot Tea Steeping Instructions: Put 1 heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 8oz of water in your tea cup or teapot. Using a tea infuser to hold the tea makes it easier. Pour boiling water over the tea. Steep for 5-10 minutes. Longer steeping will results in a fuller flavor without any bitterness.

Iced Tea Instructions: For a Liter or quart use 2 heaping Tbsp. of loose tea into teapot. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiled water on tea. Steep 5-10 min. Strain tea into pitcher, adding water and/or ice to complete the liter or quart. Garnish & sweeten to taste.
