Black Walnut Balsamic Vinegar
Black Walnut Balsamic Vinegar has a sweet, mild walnut flavor that has many uses. Walnuts pair well with fruits such as pears, apples and berries which make this balsamic walnut vinegar perfect on salads which any or all of these ingredients in them.
One of our favorite salad uses is on what is called a “Michigan Salad”, which consists of mixed greens, Granny Smith Apples, walnuts or pecans (candied or not), feta or goat cheese and grilled chicken. There are several variations, but you get the idea. The Black Walnut Balsamic Vinegar, Olive Oil Dressing on this salad enhances all the flavors.
Adding the Walnut Vinegar to any salad which has blueberries, strawberries, or any apples is a treat.
Drizzled on a poached pear, goat cheese and arugula salad is also delicious.
Black Walnut Vinegar adds extra flavor when used as a marinade for meats, added to root vegetables, squash and rice and pasta dishes.
