Fukamushi Sencha

Fukamushi Sencha (or Sen Cha), made from tea leaves carefully deep steamed, has a smooth, mild flavor and aroma, with a medium to darker yellow color. The leaves are very soft, the tips often break when rolled and settle to the bottom when brewed. The slight sediment means the health benefits increase as with Matcha. When drank you get more of the nutrients found in green tea.

We import this tea directly from the family in Japan which has owned their tea plantation in the Shizuoka Prefecture for almost 100 years. They grow, pack and ship the tea themselves. It is “Naturally grown under of National Organic Program”, and while we receive the tea in sealed bags as “organic”, we cannot sell ir as such.

Compare the taste of our Fukamushi Sencha from Japan and our Kakagawa Sencha from Zhejiang Province and see which you prefer. We like them equally.

We sell other Green Teas we import from the same family in Japan. So, if you enjoy Green Teas and would like to try our other Japanese teas, please try our Matcha Genmaicha, Bancha, Houjicha, Kukicha and our Premium Ceremonial Matcha Tea. Their quality is unsurpassed for Japanese Teas.
