Greek Kalamata Olive Oil
Greek Kalamata Olive Oil is a single varietal olive oil, it has the flavor of fresh pressed Greek Kalamata olives. Kalamata olives are one of the most widely known and recognized olive varieties in the United States. Who hasn’t has a Greek Salad? Have you ever had an olive tapenade? How about a warmed bowl of olives in a higher-end restaurant? They all use Kalamata olives for at least one of the olives used.
Fresh, fruity with a slight peppery flavor, this robust olive makes excellent dipping oil as well as a wonderful olive oil base for salad dressings, like Greek Salad Dressing.
For a simple use, just pour some on a plate or in a dipping dish and dip some crusty bread in for a smooth, buttery flavor. Add some of our Sheffield Tuscan Seasoning to the oil and the combination of the bread, oil and seasoning makes for a savory appetizer. You can also add a drizzle of plain or flavored Balsamic Vinegar to the oil for another twist on dipping oil.
Combine the Olive Oil with your favorite Balsamic Vinegar for a simple salad dressing. By using different flavored Balsamic Vinegars, you can pair the dressing with salads made of mixed greens, fruits or other herbs. Many times, we will just use our Traditional Dark Balsamic Vinegar with the oil. Simple yet, delicious flavor.
