Jasmine Pearls

Jasmine Pearls are perfumy, hand-rolled jewels of tea from the Fujian province, China. Each pearl is hand rolled with a tea leaf and a jasmine blossom. The scent is much stronger than other jasmine teas. Most Jasmine Tea lovers are of course, familiar with the traditional Jasmine Tea in loose form, which our version is called Jasmine with Flowers. Jasmine loose tea is a beautiful tea and very popular, but Jasmine Pearls have their own following for several reasons.

When steeped, they unfurl their leaves in the cup, showing off their beautiful shape and color and releasing their delicate scent and flavor in doing so. Many tea drinkers enjoy watch their tea leaves expand in the cup, steeper basket or cup. The sight is wonder to behold.

Pearl drinkers find the experience of watching the transformation while waiting for their tea to steep, almost meditative.

And many just prefer the more scented tea, and since Jasmine Pearls or any quality green tea can be steeped 2-4 times, the leaves are large enough, they can steep them right in the cup and just add more water for the subsequent steeps.

Whatever your reason, the experience of a handrolled tea is worth the extra cost to many, and we agree.

Steeping Instructions
Hot tea brewing method: Put 6 to 8 pearls for each 7-9 oz of water in the teapot. Pour the boiled water, cooled about 2 minutes until it reaches about 170 degrees, into the teapot. Steep for 3 to 7 minutes. Milk and Sugar are not recommended.
