I was thinking about my next Tea Face over the weekend and realized I haven’t had a number of our green teas in a while. Yes, I drink a lot of iced tea, but we start every day with a cup of hot tea…English Breakfast, Earl Grey, or other black tea. We also finish each day with a hot herbal tea. During the day I might have any tea depending on my mood. That’s why I knew I needed to go back and profile for you several of our green teas I either haven’t profiled before or not in a while. There are some very unique teas you might or might not be familiar with, so I thought I’d start with Dragonwell, one of our most unique green teas.

Dragonwell Green Tea is quite unique with a unique history, flavor profile and even the processing of the tea leaves. Unlike other green teas which have a grassy flavor, Dragonwell has a lighter flavor, a light floral scent and a sweet character. It has a higher moisture content than most green teas when picked, and must be processed in a way to reduce the moisture to the right level without having it oxidize too much. It is hand processed in 10 steps and when finished, the leaves are pressed flat giving it its signature look. It must be sipped to be truly appreciated.
