Pai Mu Tan – Rick’s Tea Face 07-29-2024
While I’ve been highlighting some of our green teas I haven’t shown recently, I realized I’ve never “Tea Faced” our Pai Mu Tan White Tea. If you haven’t sipped a plain white tea before, then you really should. You might find it too light, or not flavorful enough, but that’s part of the allure. As you might know, we do have flavored white teas, which are also very popular with our friends.
If you’re not familiar with Pai Mu Tan, it’s from the Fujian province of China. It’s just the dried, unprocessed tea leaf, which is how all tea starts its journey. The leaves are naturally withered to dry in the sun so there isn’t any or minimal oxidation. It has a very mild, delicate flavor and scent. The color can be anything from a very light golden color to a medium golden color.
