Peaceful Sundown – Rick’s Tea Face 01/27/2025

If you’ve been a follower of my Tea Face for some years, you know that at certain times of the year I celebrate, I remember, I mourn. For such occasions I’ll raise a glass of their favorite tea, or an appropriate tea, like our Peaceful Sundown as I’m sipping now. It’s a very relaxing herbal tea and one of our patron’s favorites as well. At this time of the year, I do all of these for my brother, Dave, who I lost 6 years ago today. When I’m back in Michigan, I pass by so many restaurants and stores he built and remodeled. It seems like yesterday we were talking for hours on the phone, or over dinner. We both miss Dave.

This time, Cheryl and I also lost a dear friend the day after Christmas. We were friends since Kindergarten. Our lives took different paths after high school, but we stayed in touch at reunions, and in other ways. Not that many years ago, Bob moved out here to Las Vegas and we were able to spend more time together, talking about growing up in the neighborhood, as if it was yesterday. I was able to share some stories with his friends and family last week at his Celebration. I know Bob enjoyed them too. So, here is to you Dave, and Bob. You were loved my many. Your legacies live through those you touched.
