Sleepy Hollow Pumpkin Chai – Rick’s Tea Face 08-27-2024

We brought our Pumpkin and Fall Teas back last week. Just smelling them as we package them made me jones for anything pumpkin. It’s just that time. I love both our Pumpkin Spice Black Tea, and our Sleepy Hollow Pumpkin Chai, so I tossed a coin and it came up Chai. I don’t like rushing seasons, so I’m not ready for Fall or the upcoming holiday seasons, but we do have to prepare our offerings for our friends, so I do start sipping my Fall teas a bit early.

I like chai tea when it’s a traditional blend, as ours is, but I also like flavored chai teas, when the flavors are true, like our Pumpkin Chai. Our blender starts with a traditional chai blend of spices…cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, clove, and others. They then add some pumpkin flavor, nutmeg, and other pumpkin spice flavors. The result is a traditional chai with the pumpkin flavors coming through.

You can add a splash of milk if you lean that way, and I will from time to time, but I’ll just add a touch of sugar and sip it straight up. I made 2 cups since I knew one wouldn’t be enough.
