Tarajulie Estate Assam Black Tea – Rick’s Tea Face 09-10-2024

I’ve not told you about our Tarajulie Estate Assam Black Tea before, even though we’ve carried it for many years. I was in the mood for a full-bodied, full-flavored, black tea, and Tarajulie came to mind. Why? Simple, to achieve larger, bolder black teas, you either add Kenyan, Assam and other teas known for their boldness, or you look for a single estate tea, like an Assam Valley tea, which are know for their characteristic fuller bodies and flavors. We drink a lot of breakfast blends every day, but we also love a good single-estate tea, and that’s where Tarajulie shines through.

If you’ve not sipped a single estate tea before, what you’re missing is the pure flavor of the region, the local area, the land on which the tea grows. The flavor of an estate tea changes with the year due to the weather, but still stays pretty consistent over time without having to blend in the flavor you’re looking for. Like a single malt scotch, or a single estate wine, you want a consistent flavor year to year, which is why we carry a number of single estate teas.

Tarajulie has a full flavor, with what we call a deep malty character for a fine, robust cup of tea. If you love a bold black tea, or have not tried single-estate yea before, then Tarajulie is a good place to start. For more information, please click HERE. Then, stop by our store, or pick some up on our website and see if you enjoy it as much as many of our friends do. Now, who ate my scone I was nibbling with my tea? Daphne? Angel? No one’s owning up. Cheers!
