Vietnamese Green Tea – Rick’s Tea Face 02-18-2025

Here is a “Must-Try” tea for all of our tea-sipping friends. It’s our new Vietnamese Green Tea. Why, you ask? For a couple reasons. One is that it’s considered a rare tea in many tea circles, as it’s flavor is unlike most of the traditional Japanese and Chinese teas. It is also grown at about 5000 feet amongst the clouds, giving it unique characteristics. Another is that Vietnamese Green might be with us for only a limited time. We wanted to try it to see how our friends liked it then decide if we should keep it. Now for more reasons.

When I made my first cup, the first thing I noticed was the scent.  It was light, floral, with Jasmine notes. Very unique. The next thing I noticed was that the flavor was light, and not as grassy as many of our other green teas. More delicate, but still with a distinct tea flavor one looks for in a high quality green tea. It’s bright, golden color draws you in as well.
