China Yunnan Pu Erh

Centuries ago, Pu-Erh Tea was only reserved for the privileged Chinese and was still traditionally buried in the soil in order to develop the typical taste.  Our China Yunnan Pu Erh does not fail to deliver that earthy taste.

Pu-Erh teas are teas whose leaves after fermentation are re-hydrated, to enable a further fermentation; they are called post-fermented teas. There are different methods to achieve this additional fermentation, each following centuries-old traditions. After production, these teas are stored in cool cellars or dug in the ground for one to several years.

Our China Yunnan Pu Erh is one the most popular and best-sold worldwide, and the quality is unsurpassed. The dark to light brown leaf develops a strong, spicy and earthy taste. The infusion has a dark red color.

If a Pu-Erh is your preferred tea, we also carry a Ginger Orange Pu-Erh and a Scottish Caramel Pu-Erh.
