Hamsa Evil Eye Coasters
Hamsa Evil Eye Coasters are in the shape of the Hamsa, or the Hand of Fatima as it is also known. The symbol is also known as the Evil Eye in many cultures. It is a symbolic hand which represents protection in both Jewish and Islamic cultures. As the Hand of Fatima, this relates to Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet Mohammed, as well as Miriam, the sister of Moses. This symbol goes back thousands of years to several religions and cultures. In some cultures, you’ll find just the Hamsa hand, or just the Evil Eye, or combined as on these coasters. They have been used as a powerful symbol to protect those who wear it, or hang one in their home from illnesses, and other afflictions.
They are made from ceramic, with a cork-lined bottom. The colors are very bright and vibrant.
