Elderberry Black Tea

Elderberry Black Tea is both a delicious and healthy tea. Our blender brings together a luxury base of teas from Sri Lanka and other countries. They then add elderberries, elderflowers, and other ingredients and flavors. Together you have the elderberry flavor top flavor, with other berry notes coming through. It also has a light floral scent. Very berry, but not as heavy as any of our berry herbal teas.

Elderberries go back thousands of years as a beverage, cooking berry, wine berry, and for it’s medicinal properties. Customers buy our elderberries to make syrups, teas, and other preparations for respiratory conditions, and other uses. We get many requests for elderberry and elderflower teas as an alternative to straight elderberries. This tea gives you a nice elderberry flavor along with a smooth black tea.

You will need an infuser to make the tea. We have dozens of different Infusers, but find our Pincer Ball Tea Infusers are easy to use and come in several sizes for different size cups and pots. To take a look, please click HERE.

Hot tea brewing method: Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea or 1 tea bag, for each 8oz of water in the cup/teapot. Pour the boiling water over tea. Steep 3-7 minutes. Add milk and sugar to taste.

Iced Tea: For a Liter or quart use 2 heaping Tbsp. of loose tea into teapot. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water on tea. Steep 5 minutes. Quarter fill serving pitcher straining tea. Add Ice. Top up with cold water, garnish & sweeten to taste.
