Nirvana Green Tea – Rick’s Tea Face 07-21-2025

Hot tea in the Summer? Sure. We both start our day with a cup of English Breakfast, hot. We do drink iced tea many days, especially if we’ve been outside, or just thirsty after a long day at the store. But we also drink a hot tea during the day, which can vary depending on our mood. Today, it’s our Nirvana Green Tea. Nirvana was the first tea we crafted in-house 12 years ago when we opened, and has been one our consistently popular teas.

We crafted Nirvana starting with a smooth green tea, with liberal amounts of spearmint and lemongrass. The flavors all come through distinctively. Spearmint and lemongrass are both soothing on the throat. We have singers and speakers who buy it for that reason. I just like it for the flavor when I want a green tea, not plain, and non-fruity. I love spearmint, since I grew up with it in sauces and in Middle East dishes, and lemon in all kinds of dishes, mostly baked goods. So, the overall flavors we crafted into Nirvana combines two of my favorite flavors.
