Herbed Biscuits

Herbed Biscuits

Here is an easy recipe to make Herbed Biscuits.  Simple, yet great flavor.  Herbed biscuits and breads have been a staple of many fine dining restaurants.  Some restaurants have built a following from just the breads they have served.  So here is your opportunity to impress your dinner guests and add a nice touch to your dinner menu.  For a variation, try using different dried herbs to make the biscuits your own.

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups Bisquick or other prepared biscuit mix
1/4 tsp dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp dried rosemary
1/8 tsp dried tarragon
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 F degrees.

Combine biscuit mix and herbs in small bowl. Stir in milk to form soft dough. Place on surface sprinkled with biscuit mix and knead until desired consistency, or until it stops sticking to your hands. Roll out dough and cut out circular shapes, placing cutouts on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm for best flavor.   If you want to add an extra touch, serve with herb butter, which you can make by adding dried or finely chopped fresh basil to softened butter.  After mixing in thoroughly, chill again if it has softened too much.
