Lions Mane

Lions Mane is an edible mushroom which has used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. It is considered safe to eat, but to use for medicinal conditions, it’s safety in supplements, and efficacy of active compounds are unproven. Before using Lions Mane, you need to consult with your doctor as it can interact negatively with your body, any conditions you have or with any medicines or supplements you are currently taking. We don’t make any claim or support for any of the uses for Lions Mane.

Taking Lion’s Mane mushroom has been used to improve cognitive function. It has also been used to improve sleep quality. There are other conditions for which Lions Mane has been used, as well as negative interactions, so do your own research and consult with your doctor before using.

Lions Mane can lower blood sugar levels, so Diabetics should monitor their blood glucose closely as it may cause levels to drop too low. You should consult with and inform your doctor before using it so they know what might be affecting your diabetes and blood sugar levels.

If you have any Auto-immune diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Pemphigus Vulgaris, and others, Lions Mane mushroom might cause the immune system to become more active, and could increase the symptoms of auto-immune diseases, potentially interfering with Immunosuppressive Drugs. If you have one of these conditions, it’s best to avoid using Lions Mane.

Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals avoid taking it.

Lions Mane may slow blood clotting, so if you are on anticoagulants like Warfarin or other blood thinners, to reduce bruising and bleeding risks, or have other bleeding disorders, you should avoid taking Lions Mane.

Some side affects could be upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, skin rash (when used topically), bloating, or difficulty breathing, or allergic reactions—especially in those with mushroom allergies.

A standard daily dosage for Lion’s Mane powder typically ranges from 1g to 3g. In teaspoons, this translates to about ½ to 1½ teaspoons.
