These Nepal Felted Wool Birdhouses are handcrafted by artisans in Nepal. They are produced under Fair Trade rules, so the artists are paid a fair wage for making them. They are very high quality, and even though they can be used outdoors as birdhouses, they make very collectible items to sit around or hung as pieces of art. Being individually made, they are all a bit different.

Wool is naturally water repellent which is why they can be and are used outdoors for birds. They even have a trapdoor which can be opened to clean out.

If you do choose to use them outdoors as a birdhouse, it’s best to hang them in a protected area, like in a porch area, where they will attract small birds, like wrens.

We have a number of styles, but because we only have a couple of each, if you order online, you need to check with you check with us first either by Calling us, Emailing us or by using the “Contact Us” to make sure we have your desired style in stock. We update our website manually and we might be out of stock of particular style before we can get the stock updated on our website. If you order a style and we are out of stock, we will contact you and ask if you would like an alternative style. We reserve the right to limit the number of any item sold to any person.

Once we have sold out of a particular item, we might not be ordering more, so if you see an item you like, don’t wait too long or we might be sold out of it.

Materials: Felted Wool
Size: Varies with style, but all are about 10″ high, and 6″ wide. You can see by the pictures the dimensions vary.
To clean, gently wipe off with soft, damp cloth. Do not soak, use soaps or use chemicals.
