I realized this week that I’ve never “Faced” our Monk’s Blend Tea. You’re surprised? Think how I was since I sip it every so often, and it’s been a fan favorite since we opened. It has such a historical story, I’m shocked, shocked I say, that I haven’t shared it with you before. I wanted a cup Sunday, and thought it would make a great Tea Face again. So, when I looked to see when I last featured it, I saw I had not profiled it before. When I realized I had to have a cup and had not Faced it before, we had a winner! Here’s why I like it and hope you will too once you’ve sipped it.

Monk’s Blend Black Tea is a classic blend. Not unlike Earl Grey and Moroccan Mint with requisite ingredients, Monk’s Blend has been blended for hundreds of years, also with ingredients which makes Monk’s Blend…Monk’s Blend. It is blended with Grenadine and Vanilla for the classic flavor. But, you also need a base of a quality black tea with a rich black tea flavor, which supports the Grenadine and Vanilla. And there you have it, a wonderful tea, with the unique flavor combo of Vanilla and Pomegranate, which is what Grenadine is made from.
