Green Bell Pepper – Diced

Dried Green Bell Pepper has all the flavor and nutrition of fresh green pepper. Because they are dehydrated, the flavor is more concentrated than fresh. They retain the same sweet flavor and when used in your favorite recipes, you can’t tell the difference since they are dried fresh and not cooked first.

If you use them in a recipe which has a lot of liquid, like soups, just add them as is and they will rehydrate while cooking. If you need to rehydrate them first, mix 3 parts of dried peppers to 1 part liquid, typically warm water, but can also be vegetable or other stock. Let them soak for a minimum 5-10 minutes, depending on the temperature of the liquid.

Put some in your soups, stews, chili, dips, Sloppy Joe mix and casseroles. Adding a few tablespoons to your meatloaf, meatballs or other ground meat or crumbled protein recipes adds a fresh, sweet pepper flavor any time of the year. Try them in your poultry or pork chop stuffing recipe.

Add extra flavor by using some in your pasta sauce or other sauce recipe. Ever have diced green pepper to your cornbread or corn muffins? They are great. Add a little diced jalapeno while you’re at it.

Rehydrated, use them in your hash browns, egg recipes or omelettes. Top off your pizza and fajitas. There are so many uses, you’ll be telling us how you use them.

Use about 1 tablespoon dried bell pepper for 3 tablespoons of fresh bell pepper.

We also carry Dried Red Bell Peppers and Dried Vegetable Blend. You like it a bit hotter, we carry Jalapeño Flakes. They all add wonderful flavor to your recipes.
