Twisted Turmeric Tea
We blended our Twisted Turmeric Tea after getting many requests for Turmeric Ginger tea. There has been a tremendous growth in the popularity of herbs and spices such as turmeric and ginger for use in teas. They are already being used in other forms as anti-inflammatories, even though we make no representations as to their medicinal values. Their use in tea goes back a couple thousand years in China and India, so we’re just catching up now.
We crafted a blend of Turmeric, Ginger, Lemongrass, Rose Hips, and other herbs to give you the benefits of the herbs but also taste good. It has a light, lemony flavor with slight minty, citrusy tones. Nothing too heavy in any one direction. You can drank it with or without sweetener. It tastes great both ways. Since it is an herbal tea and caffeine-free, you can also drink it as an evening tea when you want a great tasting tea as you are winding down.
Whether you drink it for the herbs, because it is a caffeine-free herbal tea or just because it tastes good, we think you’ll really enjoy it.
Hot Tea Steeping Instructions: Put 1 heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 8oz of water in your tea cup or teapot. Using a tea infuser to hold the tea makes it easier. Pour boiling water over the tea. Steep for 10-15 minutes. Longer steeping will results in a fuller flavor without any bitterness.
Iced Tea Instructions: For a Liter or quart use 2 heaping Tbsp. of loose tea into teapot. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiled water on tea. Steep 10 – 15 min. Strain tea into pitcher, adding water and/or ice to complete the liter or quart. Garnish & sweeten to taste.
