Description
White Balsamic Vinegar
Our light golden White Balsamic Vinegar has the perfect balance between sweet and tart. This vinegar reduces to a deep amber with a flavor that hints of peaches and apricots. Awesome on salads or drizzle on fish before baking or broiling.
After cooking, white balsamic vinegar makes a great reduction finishing glaze to pour over the fish.
You can also make a wonderful White Balsamic Vinaigrette salad dressing:
1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon of black pepper, or to taste
5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Optional: 1 teaspoon honey
In a small bowl whisk together the vinegar, lemon juice, mustard, and the honey if being used, and salt and pepper until the salt dissolves and the mustard and honey combine. Add the olive oil and whisk until the dressing emulsifies. Taste and adjust if you would like a bit more of any of the ingredients. Makes about 1/2 cup of a very tasty dressing.
