Earl Grey Green Tea – Rick’s Tea Face 01/22/2024

Anyone who has been in our store, and has asked about my favorite tea, or if you have followed our newsletters for the 11 years we’ve been open, know my favorite tea is Earl Grey. Well, this week I’m sipping Earl Grey Green Tea, which I haven’t profiled before. Why the green version you ask, since I’ve been a hardcore Earl Grey Black Tea sipper for…let’s just say, as long as Earl Grey has been around…almost. Let me tell you why EG Green is in my cup today.

To be an Earl Grey, you have a base tea which is then flavored with bergamot, the orange/lemon hybrid, giving the tea an orange/lemon citrusy flavor. The only difference should be the flavor of the base tea, whether black or green. We chose this Earl Grey Green for our store because the green tea base isn’t grassy, nor is the bergamot flavor that different from our black version.

The question is still why Earl Grey Green Tea in my cup? Simple. Earl Grey is one of our top selling teas, and by some sources, the #2 Black Tea in the world, behind English Breakfast. The demand for green tea continues to grow. Some of our friends like their black teas, would like to sip more green tea, but don’t have green tea versions which compare in flavor. For our Earl Grey sippers, try our green version. The flavor might surprise you. For more information about our Earl Grey Green Tea, please click HERE. Once you’ve realized what you’ve been missing, stop by and pick some up, or order some online. You can always use one more tea on your tea shelf. Cheers!
