Teriyaki Chicken

Teriyaki Chicken is an easy and delicious dish you can make any day of the week, especially when you don’t have a lot of time. We use our Sheffield’s Asian Accents Seasoning to give the chicken a savory flavor and the sauce a light gingery, garlic flavor. The honey adds the proper sweetness you expect in a teriyaki sauce, and the peas add…well, chicken teriyaki needs cooked peas to complete the flavor. Serve over rice and enjoy!

Serves 4

Ingredients:
2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, cut into bite size pieces
2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
1 Cup Honey
1 Cup Soy Sauce
2 Tablespoons Sheffield’s Asian Accents Seasoning
2-3 Tablespoons Corn Starch
2 Cups Cooked Frozen Peas
4 Cups Cooked White or Jasmine Rice for serving

Directions:
In a large non-stick skillet, add the oil over medium-high heat. When it starts to shimmer, add the chicken pieces. Cook about 4 to 5 minutes, until thoroughly cooked and starts to turn golden brown. Stir periodically so it cooks evenly. Watch so it doesn’t overcook and dry out.

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a medium mixing bowl, add the soy sauce and corn starch. Stir until combined and no lumps. Add the Asian Accents and stir to combine. Add the honey and stir one more time to combine well.

When the chicken is done, add the sauce to the skillet. Stir to coat the chicken pieces completely. Turn the temperature down to medium-low. Stir periodically until the sauce thickens. Add the peas and stir to combine. Remove from the heat. Serve over the cooked rice and enjoy!
