Honey Lime Grilled Chicken

Honey Lime Grilled Chicken is an easy to make, delicious, grilled chicken dish. Our Milford Farmhouse Seasoning, combined with the honey, lime and the other ingredients, gives the chicken a slightly sweet, savory flavor. Since the chicken pieces are thinner, they don’t take long to cook and stay moister.

The flavor of the chicken goes with so many side dishes from rice, potatoes, and herb buttered noodles, to a seasonable green vegetable or side salad of your choice. We hope you enjoy our Honey Lime Grilled Chicken as much as we do.

Serves 4

Ingredients:
2 Pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs or Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, or 1 pound of each. If you use chicken breasts, slice them horizontally in half so you have thinner cutlets, They marinate better and grill faster.
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
½ Cup Honey
¼ Cup Fresh Lime Juice (About 2-3 Fresh Limes)
3 Tablespoons Sheffield’s Milford Farmhouse Seasoning
½ Cup Finely Chopped Fresh Cilantro
¼ Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl, or directly in a large recloseable bag, add the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, fresh lime juice, Sheffield’s Milford Farmhouse Seasoning, fresh cilantro, and ground black pepper. Whisk well to combine. Pour into a large recloseable bag

Add the chicken pieces to the marinade in the bag. Toss to coat all pieces evenly. Close the bag, refrigerate, and marinate for at least 3 hours, or overnight. Turn the bag over occasionally.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Transfer the chicken pieces to the grill. Grill on each side for about 3 to 4 minutes, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165º F (breasts), or 170ºF (thighs) and is no longer pink. Watch closely so the pieces don’t burn. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and lightly cover with foil. Serve immediately.

We like to serve the chicken with some pan-roasted potatoes, or a rice dish, and a seasonal vegetable or a mixed green side salad. Enjoy!
