Castleton Darjeeling – Rick’s Tea Face 07/24/2023
This is a hot, brisk cup of our Castleton Darjeeling. I know, I know…it’s 115 degrees outside so why not drink it iced? I only took the picture outside so you could see the beautiful coppery color of the tea, then back inside.
I learned tea from my mother and grandmother. Being English, they taught me that Summer or Winter, regardless of the temperature, a hot cup of tea was always proper, and a hot tea would help you cool off. I don’t necessarily agree with the last point, but a hot, brisk cup of tea is always welcome. And, although we start our days with a cup of English Breakfast, I’ll still get a jones for a tea which reminds me of the taste of the tea I grew up on. That taste is a Darjeeling. The flavor is bright and lively, the color is like shiny copper, and the taste is a lifetime of memories.
