Bohemian Raspberry Green Tea

Our Bohemian Raspberry Green Tea is one of our friends’ favorite fruity green teas and not a play on words for that song of a similar name. The name comes from the connection raspberries have with Bohemia. With its mellow grassy undertones and sweet raspberry notes, it is one of our most soothing greens.

Raspberries have been enjoyed as a delicacy in Bohemia, a region of the Czech Republic, since at least the 900’s. These sweet little berries were purportedly the favorite of Boleslav I, the first King of Bohemia and brother of St. (Good King) Wenseslas. Infuse a pot today, inhale the sweet aromas and raise a toast to Boleslav or on second thought, make that St. (Good King) Wenseslas.

Steeping Instructions

Hot tea brewing method: Put 1 slightly heaping tsp of loose tea for each 8oz of water in the cup or teapot. Pour the boiled but slightly cooled water over tea. Steep 3 to 7 minutes. Milk and Sugar are not recommended. Makes a wonderful Iced Tea as well.

Iced Tea: For a Liter or quart use 2 heaping Tbsp. of loose tea into teapot. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water on tea. Steep 5 minutes. Quarter fill serving pitcher straining tea. Add Ice. Top up with cold water, garnish & sweeten to taste.
