Fines Herbes
Fines Herbes is a classic French blend. Used in many of their signature dishes, it adds that “French flavor” to their recipes. They can be used with almost any meat dish. The French use them in more delicate dishes such as chicken, fish, veal and other seafood. They need a relatively short cooking period. They also add extra flavor to beef dishes. Fines Herbs is wonderful in egg dishes.
They work well in soup, stews and stocks, as well as with steamed, grilled, sauteed, or roasted vegetables, and potato dishes. Add a sprinkle to raw salads for an added fresh flavor.

Use them anywhere an herb is called for, such as Parsley. Try it as a substitute for other blends such as Italian Seasoning and Mediterranean Seasoning. Fines Herbes can also be substituted for Herbs de Provence and Bouquet Garni. Each have their own characteristic flavor. You might find you prefer one of the other, so experiment a bit with them.
Ingredients: Chervil, chives, marjoram, parsley and tarragon.
