Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls is so easy, and so delicious, you can make it when you get home from work, or when you need a fast meal anytime. We crafted our Sheffield’s Korean BBQ Rub to have the traditional flavors you find in a Korean BBQ Seasoning. But, we also blend ours with Maple Sugar, a flavorful chile powder, orange peel and other spices to give your dish an even bigger flavor.

Your guests will absolutely love the flavor. You might want to make extra sauce to spoon over your
portion in case you want a little extra flavor. Enjoy!

Serves 3 to 4

Ingredients:
1 ½ Pounds Ground Beef. We use 85/15 so it doesn’t dry out too fast while browning.
1 Tablespoon Garlic, Minced
¼ Cup Soy Sauce. You can use regular or reduced sodium. If you use reduced sodium, you might need to adjust the salt when you taste test it.
4 Teaspoons Sesame Oil
3 Tablespoons Sheffield’s Korean BBQ Rub
¼ Cup Brown Sugar, Packed
¼ Teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper
⅛ to ¼ Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, depending of level of spiciness you prefer.
¼ Teaspoon Ground Ginger
2 to 3 Cups Cooked White Rice for Serving
Sesame Seeds, for garnish
Green Onions Sliced, for garnish

Directions:
Prepare rice according to the instructions on the package, keep lid on to keep warm when done.

In a small mixing bowl, add the sesame oil, soy sauce, Sheffield’s Korean BBQ Rub, brown sugar, black pepper, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Whisk well to combine. Set aside until needed.

In a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking into crumbles while cooking. Drain off any excess fat. Add the garlic, cook about 3 seconds, releasing the flavor and fragrance. Stir into the browned ground beef to combine. Turn the heat down to low.

Give the sauce a quick whisk, and pour over the ground beef mixture. Stir to combine. Let cook for a couple minutes, allowing the sauce to come up to temperature.

Serve over the cooked rice. Garnish with the sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Enjoy!
