Apple & Pear Green Tea – Rick’s Tea Face 02/06/2024
I’m sipping Apple & Pear Green Tea, one of our newer teas. Why? Well, today would have been my brother’s birthday, but we lost him 5 years ago last week. I say this because I do a little tribute every year with one of his favorite teas. This year I wanted to do it a bit different so I thought what he liked to do over the years. It wasn’t long before I remembered that he loved visiting apple orchards and cider mills in the Fall. There are plenty around Southeast Michigan and we both visited most of them over the years. We also had some apple trees in our neighborhood as kids, so apples have always played a part in our lives. You probably see the connection between my brother and this Apple & Pear Green Tea.
There’s also a pear tie-in as well. Our next door neighbor had a pear tree. He always had an overabundance, so he gave our mother a lot to can. We’d eat pears all Winter. So you see, my Tea Face this week is a twofer.
