I love caramel flavor almost as much as I love almond flavor. I grew up eating English toffees. My grandfather always had some around the house. My grandmother also bought Caramel Iced Yellow Cakes from Sander’s Bakeries, for those of you from Michigan. The creamier the flavor the better. That’s why our Creme Au Caramel Rooibos is a tea I get a taste for every so often, like today.
Our Creme Au Caramel Rooibos Tea has the overriding flavor of caramel, or sweet toffee as many tell us. It has some hazel nut undernotes. This is definitely a tea to be tried by anyone who loves the flavor of Caramel. It’s also a Rooibos herbal tea, so you can drink it anytime and worry about the caffeine, since it doesn’t have any.
For a reference to when caramel exploded as flavor, Crème au Caramel, the classic French dessert was everywhere around the early 1900’s, was found on most restaurant menus. Then you have Creme Brulee and Flan, and you have these additional desserts with this caramel flavor to different degrees. To me, I’ll take them all as long as the caramel jumps out with that smooth, caramelized flavor.
