Classic French Dressing

We crafted our Classic French Dressing to be close to the French Dressings we grew up with in the 1960’s and 1970’s. but even better. French Dressing as we know it is an American creation originally based on French Vinaigrettes of the 1800’s. It became French Dressing on this side of The Pond in the 1920’s with the addition of tomato and other ingredients, and has continued to evolve many different ways since then.

Our dressing mix contains all the dry spice and herb ingredients. All you need is the Olive Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, Sugar, and Tomato Paste. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Makes 1 ½ Cups Dressing

Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl, add 1 Cup Olive Oil, ½ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar, ⅓ Cup Sugar, and 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste. Add 3 tablespoons of the French Dressing Mix. Whisk to combine well.

Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour if you have time to allow the flavors to mingle and develop. Store any unused salad dressing in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
