Sleepy Hollow Pumpkin Chai – Rick’s Tea Face 10/04/2022
Our Sleepy Hollow Pumpkin Chai is one more of our Fall Seasonal teas we bring back for a limited time. It has such a devoted following that we could carry it all year long, but if we did then it wouldn’t be special when we do bring it back. But why is it so special and why am I sipping it now? Let me try to explain it.
I like pumpkin spices. Always have and our blender captures these in the tea. Cinnamon, clove, ginger, nutmeg and pumpkin flavor. These are similar and overlap with traditional Masala Chai Tea, which they use as the base. So, they add in cardamom, white pepper and other traditional chai flavors. Throw in, I mean, blend in some apple, hibiscus and other flavors and you have a tea even non-chai sippers love.
Many times, I’ll add some warmed milk to my chai, but Our Sleepy Hollow Pumpkin Chai has such a rich flavor, I’ll sip it as is, or with a touch of sugar. It’s not overly spicy or peppery as some chai teas can get. The flavors are balanced just right. It’s a tea you really need to try to appreciate and judge for yourself. You might agree that it deserves a spot on your tea shelf, or not, but give it a chance.

Since this is a seasonal tea, if you like it you must be sure to stock up while we have it, since once we sell through our stock around Christmas, maybe sooner, it wil be gone until next year. Now where’s my cup and a couple of our Frosted Pumpkin Bars? Cheers!
