Cowboy Burger

Our Cowboy Burger is named that because we use our Dusty Trails Steak Seasoning for a delicious flavor. It’s also a very hearty, savory burger. A meal in itself. We blended it to enhance the flavor of steaks, burgers, chops and more. The other ingredients add extra layers of flavor and juiciness, giving you a burger you and your guests will be adding to your grilling short list. The Panko breadcrumbs and a touch of milk which keeps the burger moister while cooking. We like the texture much better than using regular breadcrumbs.

Having a wide variety of toppings lets your guests not just enjoy a delicious burger, but customize them their way. Toppings like a few ridged potato chips or crispy fried onions add extra crunchiness. A side of fries, baked beans, potato or other favorite salad will complete your meal anytime of the year.

Makes 4 to 6 Burgers

Ingredients:
1 ½ Pounds Ground Beef (We use 85/15 Ground Chuck for a tastier, juicier burger.)
⅓ Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
2 Tablespoons Milk, or Water (We use milk.)
1 Large Egg
1 ½ Tablespoons Sheffield’s Dusty Trails Steak Seasoning
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
Hearty Buns, like a Kaiser Roll, Onion Roll
Ketchup, Mustard, Cheese, Dill Pickle Slices, Tomato, Lettuce, Ridged Potato Chips, Crispy Fried Onions, or Other Toppings of Your Choice.

Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, panko bread crumbs, milk, egg, Dusty Trails Steak Seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix all ingredients until well combined.

Divide into 4 or 6 portions, depending how large of burgers you want. Pat out so they are a bit larger than the bun diameter. Don’t over-compact them or they will be too dense. Make an indentation in the middle of each patty with your thumb, so they will hold their shape.

Prepare a medium to medium-high temperature grill or skillet. Cook about 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until your desired doneness is achieved.

Remove from the heat, and serve on your preferred bun or roll. Let your guests dress the burgers with the toppings of their choice. Enjoy!
