Savory Onion

Savory Onion has a wonderful onion flavor, accented with zesty garlic, paprika and other spices and herbs. It is so versatile, you’ll find many more uses than we can tell you. Use with your vegetables whether you roast them, sauté, steam or bake them.

Add some to your roasts, ground meats and meatloaf mix for a very savory flavor. Sprinkle on the vegetables you cook along side your roasts. The flavor of the gravy you will make from the drippings will be some of the best you have ever made.

Mix a tablespoon to some melted better for a delicious seafood baste. Use when you sauté your fish filets, shrimp or scallops.

It makes an easy salad dressing with some oil & red wine vinegar. Add a bit of water first to rehydrate the herbs. For a creamy dressing, add 3 tablespoons to 1 cup buttermilk and 1 cup mayonnaise.

For a fantastic dip mix, add 3 tablespoons to 1 ½ cups of sour cream and ½ cup real mayonnaise. Mix well and refrigerate for 30 minutes. For a lower fat version, substitute low fat sour cream and low fat mayonnaise. You can also use plain yogurt in place of the sour cream.
