Cherry Rose Rooibos Tea – Rick’s Tea Face 02-06-2023

Cherry Rose is a special flavor, which I had to sip today. We have had this Cherry Rose Rooibos, and a Cherry Rose Green Tea since we opened 10 years ago. As a lifelong Earl Grey drinker, my first sip of both Cherry Roses was eye opening. It took me a few seconds to pick up both flavors, since I never had a tea like that before. It took me only a few more seconds to understand why these two flavors are constant in many countries as well as in their teas either alone or together. The nutty flavor of the rooibos allows the cherry and rose to come through just as pronounced as with the green tea. The caffeine-free herbal rooibos gives you a very healthy beverage as well. The golden, coppery color of the rooibos also looks good.

Other than this delightful flavor in my cup, the other reason I chose this tea today, February 6th, is that it would have been by brother, Dave’s 70th birthday. I lost him 4 years ago, a little over a week ago. He wasn’t a tea maven, but neither am I. I just like tea and have drank it all my life. Dave didn’t. So, I was surprised that he got hooked on Cherry Rose Rooibos. There was something about the flavor that he liked. I know he liked cherries, as he and his family would visit the Traverse City, Michigan Cherry Festival every few years. Michigan is the Cherry Capital, and I bring cherry-flavored coffee back with me on my travels, so cherry is a Michigan thing. He liked fruitier, red wines, so maybe that was a connection. For the rose…..not a clue. But for whatever reason, I’d send him some Cherry Rose Rooibos when we ran low, or he ask for some when I was heading back to Michigan.

We sell a good amount of both of our Cherry Rose teas, and if you have not sipped either yet, you should, if either flavor is on your palate. The flavors are very similar other than the base being either a smooth green tea or a rooibos. For more information, please click HERE. Once checked out, stop by, give a smell and see if either might earn a spot on your tea shelf, even if just for a short time. So, back to my tea, and reminiscing about our childhood. I miss you, Dave, and Cheers!
