Parisian Sauteed Green Beans

Our Parisian Sauteed Green Beans is an easy recipe and compliments many entrees. We have made them to accompany steaks, chicken and ribs. Actually, we’ve made them even for a side with our burgers. If you leave out the bacon, they also make an excellent main dish for a vegetarian meal. Add some small cubes of extra firm or baked tofu while cooking to pick up the Parisian Café Seasoning flavors.

Our Parisian Café Seasoning adds a wonderful flavor to the beans with the shallot, onion, garlic and other spices in the blend. Its very versatile and adds a savory flavor to many vegetables and other foods.

Serves 4

Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans-trimmed
4 slices bacon cut into ¾” pieces (leave out if you want a vegetarian dish)
2 Tablespoons butter
2-3 Tablespoons Parisian Café Seasoning

Directions:
In a medium-large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat about 2-3 minutes until the fat starts to render. Add the butter. When it starts to melt, add the beans and Parisian Café Seasoning. Mix well gently. Continue to cook about 5-6 minutes over medium heat or until the beans are cooked until tender. Mix periodically so that the beans cook evenly.
