Maple Herb Salad Dressing

Maple Herb Salad Dressing is a refreshing dressing with the sweet maple finish of New England Maple Syrup, and a nice apple tang.  It is made with maple sugar, which is pure maple syrup, just dehydrated so you get all the flavor and nothing else.  We add a few herbs and spices to give you a wonderful dressing.

The flavor compliments most salad greens, but especially salads with extras like cheeses, nuts, fruits and similar ingredients.  Maple flavor goes so well with fruits, nuts, and compliments many other flavors which is why a maple dressing is very versatile and found on many menus throughout the Midwest, New England, and Canada, of course.

We have a Michigan Salad on our website which is traditionally served with a Maple Salad Dressing. A Michigan Salad is made with lettuce, feta or blue cheese, chopped walnuts, dried cherries or cranberries, and chopped apple. You’ll find many dressings, but our Maple Herb Dressing has just enough maple flavor, just enough tang and just enough herbs to compliment the salad ingredients.

Makes about 1 Cup

To make our Maple Herb Salad Dressing:
Ingredients:
¾ Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil (You can use Avocado or Canola Oil if you prefer)
¼ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
2 ½ to 3 Tablespoons Sheffield’s Maple Herb Salad Dressing Mix

Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl, add the Olive Oil, Vinegar, Dijon Mustard, and Maple Herb Salad Dressing Mix. Whisk to combine well. Set aside for 10 minutes to let the flavors develop before serving.

Store any unused dressing in an airtight jar or other container in a refrigerator for up to a week.
