Cattleman’s Cracked Peppercorn Steak & Potato Bites

Cattleman’s Cracked Peppercorn Steak & Potato Bites is very easy, and fast to make, making it a perfect dish when you don’t have a lot of time to cook and want to spend more time with your family and guests. We use our Sheffield’s Cattleman’s Cracked Peppercorn Blend for the seasoning, which gives the steak and potatoes a very savory flavor, and make it a favorite. Cutting the steak into bite-size pieces helps keep the steak tender since they cook faster. You use most cuts of steak like New York Strip, or Top Sirloin, but we like to use Boneless Rib Eye since it turns out quite tender and doesn’t dry out.

We like to serve a green vegetable like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, or asparagus when in season to complete the meal. Enjoy!

Serves 4

Ingredients:
Steak:
1 Tablespoon Butter
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Pound Beef Steak, with Fat Trimmed Off, Cut into 1 Inch Cubes. We use boneless rib eye because it turns out very tender.
1 ½ Tablespoons Sheffield’s Cattleman’s Cracked Peppercorn Blend
1 Teaspoon Kosher Flake Salt

Potatoes:
1 Pound Baby Yukon Gold Potatoes, Cut in half, or quartered if too large.
1 Tablespoon Butter
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 ½ Tablespoons Sheffield’s Cattleman’s Cracked Peppercorn Blend
1 Teaspoon Kosher Flake Salt

Directions:
Heat the olive oil and butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. When the butter melts and the oil starts to shimmer, add the potatoes. Sprinkle with the Cattleman’s Cracked Peppercorn and salt. Toss with a spatula to evenly coat the potatoes. Cook for about 6 to 7 minutes, turning over a couple times to allow for browning all over. Watch close so they don’t burn. Transfer to a bowl and loosely cover with foil to keep warm.

Add the remaining olive oil and butter to the skillet. When the butter has melted and the oil starts to shimmer, add the steak pieces. Sprinkle with remaining Cattleman’s Cracked Peppercorn and salt. Toss with a spatula to evenly coat the steak pieces. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until thoroughly cooked to your doneness. Don’t overcook or they will dry out and not be tender.

Transfer the potatoes back into the skillet. Gently toss to combine with the steak pieces. Heat for a minute, then serve to your guests. Add a side of a seasonal vegetable to complete your dinner. Enjoy!
