Italian Parmesan Chicken Breasts
These Italian Parmesan Chicken Breasts make a great dinner dish or a tasty chicken sandwich. We use our Italian Salad Dressing Seasoning along with grated or shredded Parmesan cheese and granulated garlic to give them a delicious flavor. The Italian Salad Dressing Mix has all the spices and herbs you need in one blend for the recipe. The overall flavor compliments chicken nicely. You can also use the cheese mixture with pork chops as well.
The recipe is very easy to make and doesn’t take a lot of time, so it is perfect for dinner when you don’t have a lot of time.
4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, about 2 lb. depending on size
1 cup Freshly Grated or Shredded Parmesan Cheese
2 or 3 Tablespoons Dry Italian Salad Dressing Seasoning
1 Teaspoon Granulated Garlic
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Slice the chicken breasts in half and pound thinner to about ½” thick. Lightly spray a shallow baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
In a medium shallow bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, Italian Salad Dressing Sewasoning and granulated garlic. Lightly moisten the chicken breasts with water. Place each chicken breast in the bowl and coat both sides, pressing the mixture so it sticks. Transfer the chicken pieces to the baking sheet. Sprinkle the leftover cheese mixture evenly on the chicken breasts. Bake for about 20 minutes or until chicken is done with an internal temperature of 165°F. Watch so the chicken doesn’t overcook. Remove from the oven and serve immediately with a side dish of your choice. We usually serve them with a wild rice mixture or a green vegetable like green beans or steamed broccoli.
If you want to serve them as a sandwich, serve them on an onion or kaiser roll with sliced tomatoes, lettuce and honey mustard, mayonnaise or topping of your choice.
