Pink Peppercorns (Schinus Terebinthifolius) are not a true Peppercorn, but are the dried fruit of the Baies Rose Plant. These berries are highly prized by the French and other European cuisines for their delicious, peppery flavor. They have a delicate pepper flavor and impart a light rose color to food. Pepper is one of the most commonly used spices. You’ll find them in French and other European cuisines where a more delicate pepper flavor is wanted but a shallot flavor isn’t right.
Use them in your favorite Vinaigrette or Salad Dressing recipe. Roll Pork Tenderloin or Filet Mignon in coarsely ground Pink Peppercorns before roasting or grilling. They are add a light peppery flavor to seafood dishes. Just sprinkle some crushed peppercorns on the fish as it is cooking.
Try using them in recipes calling for other peppercorns to give your dish a new twist. Because of the extra peppery flavor, they are also one of the Peppercorns in our Four Peppercorn Blend.
