Sheffield’s Everything Bagel Seasoning

We hand-crafted our Sheffield’s Everything Bagel Seasoning after getting numerous requests for the blend. With so many versions you find on top of bagels in bagel shops, we wanted a familiar flavor using the spices you would expect to find on an Everything Bagel, yet better and more flavorful. So we tweaked and tweaked our recipe, added our own spices, tasted it many times on Avocado Toast, and bagels & cream cheese, and here it is. We liked the final blend so much, we had to make a second Avocado Toast “just to make sure it tasted right”. The blend of sesame and poppy seeds, garlic, onion and more is outstanding.

For ways to use our Everything Bagel Seasoning, we looked around and listened to our friends and how they used it. Here are some ideas.

Use it as a traditional bagel topping. Toast your bagel or hearty, whole grain bread. Then spread some butter or cream cheese flavor of your choice (plain works the best), then sprinkle some seasoning on top. Even add some diced or sliced avocado You don’t need a lot. The flavor pops right through. Add a few fresh chopped chives if you like.  Here’s our Avocado Toast recipe we absolutely love.

We’ve seen literally hundreds of ways to use it. From a cooking seasoning for chicken, vegetables, corn on the cob, egg dishes and cheeses & cheese balls, to popcorn, baked potatoes, grain dishes, cole slaw and potato salad, the uses are only limited by your imagination.

Sprinkle on your hummus and omelets. Add a dash or three to your egg salad, chicken salad or tuna salad. Use as a topping when baking your breads or rolls. This combination of spices is also wonderful on baked and rotisserie chicken and seafood.

The possibilities are endless. All you need now is to pick some up and see what’s your favorite way of using our Everything Bagel Seasoning.
