Crispy Lemon Garlic Pepper Shrimp

Crispy Lemon Garlic Pepper Shrimp is a simple recipe, yet very delicious. We like to make it about once a month, especially when we want something fast after coming home from work. We crafted our Lemon Garlic Pepper Seasoning to compliment shrimp and other seafood, which is why we chose it for the recipe.

Using bit of olive oil and butter to cook the shrimp adds a nice crispiness to the shrimp. The spice blend in the flour adds the light lemon citrus flavor to the coating. Since shrimp cooks so fast and crisps up nicely, this is another reason why we cook this as often as we do. Sometimes we will use our other lemon-based spice & herbs blends.

Serve with a rice side dish, maybe a simple vegetable or even a small mixed green salad and you’re all set.

We also have a Grilled Lemon Pepper Cod recipe, if you like lemony seafood dishes.  Check out our other fish and seafood recipes as well.

Serves 3 to 4

Ingredients:
1 Pound Medium Peeled, Deveined Shrimp, Thawed If Frozen
½ Cup Flour
1 ½ Tablespoons Lemon Garlic Pepper Seasoning
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons Butter
Lemon Slices & Chopped Flat Leaf Parsley for garnish

Directions:
Put flour and Lemon Garlic Pepper in a mixing bowl. Blend all together. Add shrimp to the bowl and gently mix to coat.

Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the butter and oil start to sizzle, add the shrimp. Cook about 2 to 3 minutes, until they are lightly browned and the coating has started to get crispy. Flip the shrimp over and continue to cook another 2 to 3 minutes until lightly browned. Watch so they don’t burn or overcook.

Remove from heat and serve your Crispy Lemon Garlic Pepper Shrimp immediately with lemon slices and a garnish of parsley. Serve with a side of rice pilaf, or other side dish of your choice.
