Great Lakes Seasoned Fish Filets

Our Great Lakes Seasoned Fish Filets recipe is a wonderful way to showcase our Great Lakes Seafood Seasoning. The very savory flavor highlights any seafood you’ll prepare. We added a touch of spiciness in the blend to add another layer of flavor to make your dish pop.

You can use just about any flaky white fish cut for this recipe. The result will be the same delicious, flaky dish your guests will rave about. Of course, it’s the Great Lakes Seafood Seasoning.

We like to serve our fish with a rice side or potato side dish and a seasonal green vegetable. It’s a perfect dinner. Enjoy!

Serves: 4

Ingredients:
4 4oz. Cod, Rock Fish, Halibut, or other flaky white fish filets
3 Tablespoons Sheffield’s Great Lakes Seafood Seasoning
1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tablespoon Butter (unsalted is the best)

Directions:
Sprinkle the Great Lakes Seafood Seasoning on both sides of the fish filets. Gently rub in, cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours to let the flavor develop into the fish a bit.

Melt the butter and olive oil in a large non-stick skillet, over medium to medium-high heat, depending on your stove. Swirl the melted mixture so it covers the bottom of the pan. Place the filets in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, depending on thickness. Turn over and cook another 3-4 minutes until done and fork flaky. Don’t overcook and watch so they don’t burn.

Carefully use a spatula to remove the fish from the pan. Serve immediately.

Serve with a baked potato, a Wild Rice or other rice dish, and a seasonal green vegetable of your choice.
