Fenugreek Powder

Fenugreek Powder and Fenugreek Seed is used in many Indian, Southeast Asian, Chinese and other Eastern cuisines. Indians use it to make curries, breads, chutneys, pickles, and other dishes, such as dal. It is also mixed with yogurt when marinating chicken, beef and other meat dishes. With the migration of Indians and Pakistanis to England and other European countries, it has found it’s way into many local dishes in Europe.

In Middle Eastern cuisines it is used in salads. Armenians use it to season beef dishes. In Greece the seeds are boiled and eaten with honey. Egyptians use it to flavor flatbreads and sweets. Historical records find Fenugreek being used as far back as Biblical times.

It is also found in many Moroccan, Ethiopian and other North African dishes.

In the United States, Fenugreek Powder is used to season pork, lamb, chicken and added to baked goods, icings, meat seasonings and soups.
